Whether you’re a novice player or a tournament veteran, The Seagate Tennis Center offers programs and services to match any skill level. The center is available for the exclusive use of members of The Seagate Country Club and guests of The Seagate Hotel. Two of the Har-Tru courts are equipped with evening lights, making them convenient for play seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
For those who’d like to improve their game, top-ranked tennis pros arrange drill sessions, tournaments, and round robins. Instruction covers everything from private lessons to group clinics.
Marcy Cava, Tennis Director, has held national rankings since age 12, including a top-three Florida ranking and a top-30 national ranking. She has competed internationally and grew up training with tennis greats like the Williams sisters, Andy Roddick, and Corina Morariu.
Florin Gheorghe, Tennis Pro, has been teaching the game of tennis for over 40 years. A native of Romania, “Coach Flo” is a member of the U.S. Professional Tennis Association and has played with many tennis greats.
Caroline Wheelen grew up in Delray, and played at the University of Miami on full scholarship, and played on the pro tour. She was ranked as high as 200 in the world and top 30 NCAA Division 1. She has worked at some of the most prestigious clubs in Florida, the Hamptons, and in Europe. She brings 20 years of teaching expertise to the Seagate.
